Third wind distilling company was founded by the lange family in early 2020 in bay city, mi. We are the VERY first LEGAL distillery in bay county, michigan, registered with the federal government as dsp-mi-20118. being a family raised near lake huron that has enjoyed michigan’s natural lakes and beautiful scenery for over 5 generations, We wanted to create a company and brand of craft spirits that all of michigan could be proud of. our distillery was created to encapsulate the culture, adventure and spirit of the great lakes.

we’re so proud to serve the great lakes bay region in creating PREMIUM SPIRITS that all of michigan can be proud of and call their own. all of our spirits’ bold designs come from the nautical alphabet, which is a communication system used by ships in the great lakes and beyond.
